Introducing Cassette Content Modeling Framework!

Today we’re excited to officially launch Cassette CMF, a flexible and developer-only content modeling framework for WordPress®. It allows plugin developers to build custom post types, custom fields, taxonomies, and settings pages, all in a single config file, either PHP or JSON.  

Why Build Yet Another Custom Fields Solution?

Short answer? Nothing out there satisfied all of our requirements. 

We needed a lean, modular, config-based, totally-free, composer library to declare our content models. So we built one! We hope you'll find it useful too.

Who is this for? 

Anyone developing for WordPress (plugins, themes, or custom sites) that doesn’t already have, or isn’t satisfied with their custom fields solution.

What’s Next?

It’s early days, currently version 0.0.6, so there’s a lot left to tighten up before it’s production ready. After that?

1. Missing core features like relationship fields and conditional fields.
2. Explore other addons like a PHP based Gutenberg block builder. 
3. Add more fields as separate composer packages.
